All the dogs that are used for our dog sledding are Alaskan Huskies. This means that they are a pure bread husky or siberian husky, mixed with some form of hound. Often a grey hound. We use Alaskan Huskies because our climate is too warm. All the dogs look very different because of this. Sometimes the hound traits come out more and sometimes the husky. The blue eyes, curly tail, and pointed ears are husky traits. The long slim body, long legs and long muzzle are all hound traits.
