Vancouver Day 3

Yesterday was another very busy day. I headed out to Lynn Valley. Unfortunately I was given totally wrong directions so it took me quite a while to actually find the place. Once I was there I headed out across the suspension bridge and down to Twin Falls. Once there it started to pour out. Not just the usual mist that Vancouver gets, but a torrential down pour. Needless to say I was soaked. After finishing that trail I headed back to the car to dry off a bit and try to wait out the rain. But it didn't stop. So I decided to go for a little drive and see what I could find. I went up Mountain Hwy. It was went all the way up into another park which was gorgeous! Huge trees, and you were up the mountain a ways so it was all hazy in the amongst the trees. It was gorgeous! I walked a bit of one of the mountain biking trails and then continued my drive. I headed out to Deep Cove. On my way I stopped at Cate's Park. Once in Deep Cove I explored the Harbour for awhile and found a beautiful waterfall.  After hanging out in Deep Cove for awhile, I headed down a random street along the water. There were again waterfalls all over, with houses that outstretched across the falls.  After that I headed up Indian River Rd. A long one lane road with switch back turns and a steep drop the whole way down. Again waterfalls the whole drive. I ended up walking out on a little beach at the end of the road. Got a very different perspective of Deep Cove. I then decided to drive up Mount Seymour.  It's a winding road up the side of a mountain. It was a nerve racking ride seeing as I could see not 20 feet in front of my car. It was a very cool experience driving up in the clouds. I stopped at the lookout for Deep Cove and, well, I could see white. I went all the way to the top of the mountain just to say I did it and snapped a few pictures at the top and along the way. On the way down it started to rain and I decided with all this cloud rolling in, to go back to Deep Cove and see what it looks like now. It was a very different sight. Low clouds blanketed the mountains and lay across the Ocean. It was a remarkable sight. After this it was getting late and I wanted to get to my Sushi dinner. So I ended it there.  It may have been a wet and cloud covered day, but it was still a beautiful experience.

There is a house in front of my car.
