Today was another busy day. Did a bunch around the property in the morning, had a cook out lunch. Then went for a 3 hourish kayak around the island. While out kayaking we kept seeing deer laying under and beside cabins. There were 2 huge bucks at one cabin so I got out and chased them around for awhile. Unfortunately I was barefoot the whole time so my feet and legs are pretty cut up and covered in thorns. But it was worth it, I found the bucks and got some neat shots. After all this we went for a walk and then the excitement. We were walking back to our cabin and we could here a fire alarm going off across the bay and there was tons of smoke. We called some friends over there to tell them and then we headed over in the boat. My Dad and I got there and turns out, the fire alarm was going off because of some people left there dishwasher running since september long and it broke and water has been pouring out into the cabin and down into the basement since then. There was so much water that the outside stucco is wet and the doors were warped and had broke open because of it. What a disaster! That was the excitement for the day! Very eventful as it always is out here!
